Mrs Violet Amy Parker, of Greenacres, Rectory Lane, Barrowby, has died in Cedars Nursing Home, Bourne, Lincs. She was 90.
Born in Claypole, to Walter and Eliza Grummitt, she was the youngest of nine children.
She is predeceased by her siblings.
Mrs Parker worked at BMARC during the Second World War and then worked at Bjorlows for several years before going to help out at a farmhouse in Woodnook.
She enjoyed coach holidays with her friends, visiting places in the UK and Europe. She liked watching nature programmes on television and she had a keen interest in gardening and birds.
Barry White conducted the funeral service at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovas Witnesses. Burial followed in Little Ponton churchyard.
Family mourners included: Michael and Judy Grummitt, Natalie and Terry Dixon, Alison Grummitt, Mark Dixon, Susan and Ian Honey, Ann O’Connell and Roy and Ann Atkins.

Funeral arrangements were by Robert Holland, St Catherine’s Road, Grantham.
Donations were received for the RSPB.
