Mrs Winifred Margaret Webster (Peggy), of Goodliffe Road, Grantham, and recently of Newton House Nursing Home, has died in Lincoln County Hospital. She was 91.
Mrs Webster was born in Leicester.
In 1942 she married Charlie and they had three children, Martyn, Phillip and Linda. The family moved to Grantham in 1965. The following year Mrs Webster was widowed and was left to bring up her young family alone, a role she devoted her life to.
Her working life began in engineering during the Second World War and she continued to work until starting her family.
In 1973 she started work at Kemptons knitwear factory as a cutter and remained until her retirement. She later returned to the company as a cleaner, working there for some years.
Mrs Webster loved her grandchildren and spent many happy times with them. She was a fantastic knitter and made many character jumpers and toys for her grandchildren.
She also enjoyed taking holidays abroad.
The funeral service was held at Grantham Cremtorium Chapel, conducted by the Rev June Rowland.

Funeral arrangements were by Geesons, Westgate, Grantham.
Donations for the British Heart Foundation amount to £50 to date.
