Mrs Yvonne Ann Renshaw, of Durham Close, Grantham, has died at home. She was 75.

Born at Chestnut Cottages, Grantham, she was the fifth child of George and Elizabeth Nix. In earlier years she played the accordion and was in the Carnival Band.

She met Mick in 1957, when they both worked at Kontak, and they were married at St Wulfram’s Church, Grantham, on March 22, 1958.

Prior to meeting Mick she was fond of riding motorcycles. She has three children, Kenneth, Annette and Jason, four grandsons, a granddaughter and four great-granddaughters. A great-grandson is due in November.

Mrs Renshaw had several jobs during her working life which included sewing shoes, making crackers, caring for the elderly as a home help, and working at Salvesens, BMARC and Bridal Fashions. She retired in 1998.

Her interests included knitting, sewing, baking, reading and occasionally fishing.

She was devoted to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved caring for them.

Mrs Renshaw enjoyed driving and seeing the countryside and regularly towed a caravan. She loved her holidays and also liked to spend time with her daughter and granddaughter on Saturdays, going to the theatre, shopping or having lunch.
