RESIDENTS are being urged to prepare for “significant disruption” when the Olympic Torch visits Grantham today (Thursday).
Mike Nicholls, highways network manager, said: “Businesses, schools, transport and many other services across the county will be affected.”
South Kesteven District Council’s website has details of road closures and other transport information.
Patients attending hospital appointments in Lincolnshire are advised to plan ahead as the Olympic torch is in the county on June 27 and 28.
Road closures will be in place at least 30 minutes before the relay arrives and leaves town. All parked vehicles will have to remain where they are during that period.
