IT makes me feel very proud that Grantham has been included in the Olympic torch tour of Britain.
As Nottingham is the next stop, I am concerned that if the torch-bearer leaves Grantham via Barrowby Road, the bollards at the Asda roundabout may constitute a ‘trip hazard’.
I think that they should be painted in an eye-catching colour to avoid the chance of any mishap. If this could be done as soon as possible, it would probably help the truck drivers who have difficulty seeing the apex of the corner.
The torch-bearer should also be informed of the ‘low bridge’ so that heat from the torch does not set fire to it. Congratulations Grantham, and thanks Olympic committee.
