How delightful to see so many people enjoying the festivities in honour of St George on Sunday.

The parade was particularly spectacular with hundreds of our children and leaders showing that England can still be a proud nation.
This great show of allegiance to our Patron Saint was only marred by whoever thought that a Scottish piper playing Scotland The Brave for all he was worth would be fitting to LEAD this most English of celebrations, while those in charge of the music system on St Peter’s Hill did their best to drown out this inappropriate cacophony.
Whoever thought that one up should be made to dress in a fool’s costume to march in front of the next Glasgow St Andrew’s parade singing Land of Hope and Glory – and see how long they survive.

A Proud Englishman
