Lincolnshire County Council has once again launched The Good Citizens Awards for 2014, and is seeking nominees who have gone the extra mile to help others in their community.
Entries are invited for categories including the Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year (18 or below), and Community Group of the Year. For the first time there is also a category for Couple/Pair of the Year.
Council Leader Councillor Martin Hill said: “Lincolnshire has a long tradition of people volunteering their time for others. We’re looking for people who selflessly help others, and who make a real difference to their community. This is a chance to make sure they get the recognition they deserve.”
The winners will be treated to a VIP day at the Lincolnshire Show with a guest, as well as a cash prize and framed certificate. If you’d like to nominate someone, all you have to do is describe in at least 200 words, the contribution they have made to their community, and who in particular they’ve helped - whether a group or individual.
An online form and more details are available. For a paper form or for more information please phone 01522 552118.
The closing date is Friday, April 25, 2014.
