Lincolnshire County Council has announced the six businesses in the running to take over its property services contract.
The contract is worth between £6million and £10million per year, and includes facilities management, energy and environmental management, estates management, management of travellers’ sites, property records and catering.
Those bidding are Babcock Support Services Ltd, Cofely Workplace Ltd, EC Harris LLP, Interserve (Facilities Management) Ltd, NPS Property Consultants Limited and VINCIMouchel.
LCC’s executive director for resources and community safety Pete Moore said: “We’ve carefully assessed the initial bids and we’re confident that we’ve chosen companies to go through to the next stage that can best meet our needs.
“These companies will now produce more detailed bids for us to consider at the final evaluation.”
The final bids will be submitted in May, with the final decision expected in September 2014.
The contract will begin in April 2015, initially for five years with the option to extend to a maximum of 10 years based on the performance of the provider.
