First-time traders are being offered a free market stall on Grantham market on Saturday, March 15.
The ‘Table to Trading’ initiative has come from South Kesteven District Council as part of Enterprise Week, running from March 17-21.
The offer is aimed at anyone operating a hobby business from home who would value the opportunity to sell products or services to a wider audience on Grantham’s busy Saturday market, and there are 10 places available.
Applications will be accepted on a first come first served basis. To apply, email firstname.lastname@example.org with ‘Enterprise Week’ in the subject line.
Include what you are planning to sell, how long you’ve been trading at home and why this would help with the first step of developing the business, along with full name and contact details.
Required liability insurance for the market is being paid for by The Trust Group in Grantham, who offer insurance, telecoms and people management services.
Councillor Frances Cartwright, council portfolio holder for grow the economy, said: “SKDC values our businesses and business growth within the district and this is just one way of helping new businesses get underway.
“It is one of many great opportunities for businesses as part of SKDC’s Enterprise Week.”
