An RAF display team will drop into RAF College Cranwell on Wednesday to mark the start of a ‘Macmillan Mile’.
The RAF Falcons, based in Oxfordshire, will parachute at noon on to the college’s Orange, a large grass circle in front of the building.
Then, the fund-raising walk in aid of the cancer charity will begin. The mile-long walk is an annual fund-raiser, where servicemen and civillians take a walk in the grounds.
The RAF Falcons display incorporates an array of advanced freefall manoeuvres and falling speeds of up to 120mph. The group is made up of 16 members, including 10 display jumpers.
