A RALLY against proposed job cuts will be held outside Lincolnshire County Council offices today (Friday) as councillors set the budget.
As reported in the Journal, the local authority plans to axe 818 jobs on top of management roles already cut, which trade union members will fight.
UNISON spokesman Janet Hutchinson said: “Not only will this affect employees, but many young people, communities and the local economy will suffer too.”
Branch secretary John Sharman warned that union members are angry. He said: “They will not take this lying down.”
