YOUNG people who entered a course designed to build their confidence and personal skills have been congratulated during a presentation.
For 12 weeks, the youths worked hard, focusing upon training, education and employment.
They formed part of the Team project, which is delivered by Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue on behalf of the Prince’s Trust and covers a range of topics including team building, community projects, work experience and communication skills, all delivered through practical workshops.
All their progress was recognised during a presentation at the Guildhall Arts Centre in Grantham on Friday.
Team leader Dale Ellwood said: “We are delighted to celebrate the achievements of these young people from in and around the Grantham area.
“This is just one of many successful Team courses that have been delivered across Lincolnshire to help rebuild confidence, self esteem and identify how to improve their future opportunities. This group have been particularly enjoyable to work with and have achieved so much over the 12 weeks.”
Team is a scheme available to unemployed young people aged between 16 and 25, and is funded through the Health and Well-being Fund, an initiative run by Lincolnshire County Council and NHS Lincolnshire.
