The Friends of Sandon and Ambergate (FOSA) organised a sell-out curry and quiz night raising £710 towards an adapted gym.
It is the latest in a series of fundraising events for the gym held by the parent and teacher association for Sandon School and Ambergate Sports College, which together form the Grantham Additional Needs Fellowship (GANF).
The adapted gym is planned at the Ambergate site to provide exercise equipment to all pupils, and particularly to those who cannot access the existing outdoor sports field.
The event held at Ambergate saw more than 80 ticket holders enjoy a home-made curry, as well as testing their knowledge with a quiz hosted by GANF’s vice principal Duncan Fielding.
Chair of FOSA, Katie Bennington, said: “We are very grateful to local businesses who donated ingredients for the curry and fabulous raffle prizes, and to everyone who gave up their time to help set the evening up.
“It was a great success and we raised £710 towards the project. Thank you to you all!”
