CHILDREN from a Grantham primary school created their own “Newton Henge” this week in honour of Grantham’s most famous son.

Children from Isaac Newton Primary School in Dysart Road were joined this week by Belvoir Castle’s artist in residence, Laury Dizengremel to create the piece of artwork.

Laury said: “I am working with 82 pupils from Year 5 and Year 6 and the whole idea is to talk about the aesthetics and the beauty in geometry and science.”

The children worked in teams of two to create each individual piece which forms the final piece of art.
