A SCOUTING group was presented with a cheque for £1,860 by the Rotary Club of Grantham Kesteven.

The donation will go towards the Grantham and District Scouts Association’s centenary project to secure and develop its site at Ancaster.

Scout association president Robert Holland accepted the cheque, and also a small marquee to use at the camp site.

The Rotary club also made a donation to Rutland Sailability, of £1,100.

The charity is based at Rutland Water and enables disabled people to go sailing safely.

Funds were raised by Rotarians through various events, including an annual golf day held in June at Belton Park Golf Club.
