Sir Isaac Newton is the focus of an event at King’s School

KING’S School will host an event focussing on its most famous former pupil, Sir Isaac Newton.

Visitors can not only learn about the famous scientist’s history, but also about the ‘old school’ where he was educated.

Expert Helen Martin will give a talk entitled ‘The Classical Education of a Great Scientist: Sir Isaac Newton’ which examines his life and lessons.

She has studied his unpublished manuscripts since 1979 in England, Israel, Massachusetts and California, and has presented all over the world.

The event at King’s School will be held at Tuesday, March 29, at 7pm. Tickets are £7.50 (£6) and include wine and cheese and biscuits. To buy, call the school on 01476 563180.

Proceeds go to an appeal to rebuild the roof on the ‘old school’.
