CHORISTERS from St Wulfram’s Church travelled all the way to York Minster to sing to both the local congregation and those who travelled to the city from Grantham.
The group of 34 choristers included 18 children, all of whom sang demanding music during five services of choral evensong.
Dr Tim Williams, director of music at St Wulfram’s, said: “It is amazing to see and be part of all that the St Wulfram’s choristers are achieving. Even though many of them have only been in the choir for a relatively short time, they looked and sounded so at home in York Minster.
“It is clear that something remarkable is happening, and that the people of Grantham should be very proud of them.”
During the trip, the choristers were given tours of the building by York Minster staff.
