Chattertons Solicitors has raised £14,181 for St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice, its charity of the year for 2015.

Throughout the year, the firm’s charity committee and staff organised a number of fund-raising activities, including quizzes, bake-a-thons, a tombola, raffles, ten-pin bowling and a Christmas jumper day. The main fund-raising event was an F1 evening in September, which raised £7,250.

Partner and chairman of the charity committee Katherine Bunting said: “St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice provide a vital and free service that we at Chattertons are proud to support. This year’s charity has also touched the hearts of the staff at Chattertons as our dear colleague Sophie Attfield was diagnosed with a tumour earlier in the year and has since passed away. Sophie was admitted to St Barnabas Hospice in Lincoln so we are pleased to have been supporting the hospice in 2015.”

St Barnabas head of fund-raising and marketing Veronica Brien said: “The team should be so proud of all that they have achieved and we are delighted to have been part of this exciting year of fund-raising. We are forever grateful for the support they have given us, not just the financial contribution but also the awareness they have raised amongst friends, family and their clients. Through this support, we are able to continue providing the care and support to the people of Lincolnshire and ensure that our patients and their families can make the most of every moment together, thank you.”

Chattertons’ staff are looking forward to another year of fund-raising for their 2016 charity, The Brain Tumour Charity, in memory of their colleague Sophie.

The first fund-raising event for 2016 will be a charity quiz night on the January 21. Information: www.chattertons.com
