LINCOLNSHIRE’S Got Talent finalist Sarah Beswick, a young musician from Grantham, will be performing at the Lincolnshire Show on June 20 and 21.
The 21-year-old, who gigs regularly, entered the competition recently and impressed judges with her vocals, winning herself a spot performing on stage at this year’s Lincolnshire Show, along with other finalists from the competition.
Sarah said: “Any competition that gives you 20 minutes’ time on stage is great.”
She added that performing at the show will be a great opportunity to gain experience and build her fan base.
Before entering Lincolnshire’s Got Talent Sarah entered a singing competition called Live and Unsigned, but was disappointed when she didn’t win.
She said it was a “big sting” and “heartbreaking” not to win, but was positive about the experience as it helped her better prepare for Lincolnshire’s Got Talent and gave her drive to succeed in this competition.
Sarah said: “My whole family has been really supportive. Two years ago I sort of popped out of nowhere and said I wanted to be a singer and they’ve been supportive from day one.”
Getting through to perform at the show has made her “really happy”.
She added: “Realise your dream, prepare for it and go for it; that’s what I’ve done and it feels good when you get there.”
As well as performing at the Lincolnshire Show, Sarah is working on her own music and an EP of cover songs that will be available to download from iTunes in the upcoming months.
