More than 130 Year 11 pupils and almost 40 staff members from Sir William Robertson Academy enjoyed a very special celebration at the end of June.
Donned in their suit and ties and prom dresses, the pupils headed to the Ramada Resort near Grantham, to mark the end of their GCSE exams and their final Year 11 academic year.
The pupils enjoyed an evening of music, dancing, a two-course meal and entertainment which included a magician, casino, a photo booth and sweet cart.
Many of the pupils will stay on at the school’s Sixth Form in September with more than 100 students having applied for places.
Headteacher Mark Guest is delighted by the success of their flourishing sixth form and commented: “The school is driven by the aim to aspire and this directs the work of all staff and pupils. More than 90 per cent of our students secured a place at their first choice university last year.”
