AWARDS are stacking up for the Woodland Trust building in Kempton Way, Grantham.

Within the last month, it has received an award from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) for its architectural excellence, and also the British Council for Offices award for the best corporate workplace.

The building, which was designed by architects Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, impressed both sets of judges with the use of timber for the structure and a simple palette of materials and colours.

Chairman of RIBA East Midlands, Julian Owen, said: “The building is a great exemplar, highlighting the good design, flair and creativity that architects, working alongside a dedicated client, can bring to important projects such as this.”
