Roadworks to combat flooding will see the A1 closed in both directions overnight during the next three weeks.
The work is aimed at reducing flooding which often occurs at the junction of the A1 slip road and the High Dyke, B6403, at Colsterworth.
The £210,130 project to repair and replace damaged sewers is expected to last three weeks finishing on January 23, and will be carried out seven days a week from 8pm to 6am. The northbound carriageway will be closed between the A606 Stamford junction and A607 Grantham junction. The southbound carriageway will be closed between the A607 Grantham junction and Colsterworth.
As well as extending the drainage network, the work will see the installation of dropped kerbs in the lay-by on the A1 southbound and the widening of the existing footway, along with resurfacing and installation of dropped kerbs in the lay-by on the A1 northbound.
