A RESCUE organisation for Yorkshire Terrier and toy dogs is holding a dog show this month.
Yorkshire Terrier and Toy Breed Rescue is holding the dog show at Kesteven Rugby Football Club at Woodnook on Sunday July 31.
The fun day will see dogs compete for titles such as “waggiest tale”, “most appealing eyes” and “dog the judge would like to take home”.
There will also be stalls, a barbecue and tombolas.
Maritsa Long of Yorkshire Terrier and Toy Breed Rescue said the organisation has vigorous procedures in place for matching rescue dogs up with the perfect owners.
She added: “In three years we have only had two dogs returned to us.
“It is all run by volunteer workers and nobody is making any money out of it. The money raised goes to the rescue and helping to pay vet bills and things like that.”
At the end of the event there will be rosettes and trophies handed out to the top dogs.
