A PENSIONER from Billingborough has been killed in a road smash at Donington, along with her sister.
The crash happened on the A52 at Donington at about 9.10pm yesterday (Thursday).
The woman has been named by police as Pamela Moore, 82, of Grosvenor Mews, Billingborough. Her sister is Eileen Williams, 83, of Baswick Lane, Stafford. Another female passenger, 77, from Billingborough, is in a serious condition in hospital having sustained head and other injuries
Ms Moore was driving a red Peugeot 106, which was in collision with a blue VW Golf driven by a 55-year-old Boston man. He was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham suffering from head and back injuries.
Police reopened the road at about 4am this morning.
It is likely that an inquest into the deaths of Ms Moore and Ms Williams will be opened and adjourned, date to be fixed, on Monday.
