A WOMAN was seriously injured in an accident on A1 southbound yesterday (Jan 16) at the A607 junction at Harlaxton.
A blue Megane collided with the central reservation at 1pm. No other cars were involved.
A 38-year-old woman, a 47-year-old man and a 9-year-old boy, all from Peterborough, were travelling in the car when it crashed.
The 38-year-old woman needed to be extracted from the vehicle using cutting equipment.
She was taken to Peterborough District Hospital with suspected spinal injuries.
A police spokesman said the injured female’s condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
Two lanes of the A1 were closed for around 45 minutes.
