UPDATE: Woman arrested in connection with two bank robberies in Grantham

Police have confirmed that a 28-year-old local woman has been arrested on suspicion of robbery in relation to an attempt at Santander Bank today and the previous incident at Yorkshire Bank on April 30.

She is currently being held at Grantham Police Station.

Police were called to Santander Bank on the corner of St Peter’s Hill and the High Street following a report of an attempted robbery.

The call came in at 1.15pm this afternoon, and a short time after officers attended the scene and the woman was arrested on suspicion of robbery in relation to this incident and the Yorkshire Bank robbery.

No one was reported to have been injured in the incident, and no weapons were seen or recovered.
