If you are interested in volunteering within the community then there are plenty of opportunities available through the Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service (LCVS).

Below are some of the latest volunteering vacancies in the area. However these are just a handful - there are hundreds of opportunities available for those of different ages, abilities and time commitments. * Guide Dogs - Collection Box Co-Ordinator

Roles involves supporting the local community fund-raising team by developing relationships with local retailers, shops and other businesses, and arrange placing the Guide dogs’ iconic collection boxes. Suitable for volunteers 18+.

* Contact the Elderly - Volunteer Drivers to Collect Group Members for Afternoon Tea

Just once a month, volunteer drivers each collect one or two otherwise-isolated elderly members, travel together to a different host’s home each month, join in (eat cake!), then bring their passengers safely home. Suitable for volunteers 18+.

* Alzheimer’s Society - Dementia Friends Champion

A Dementia Friends Champion is a volunteer who encourages others to make a positive difference to people living with dementia in their community. They do this by giving them information about the personal impact of dementia, and how they can help. Suitable for volunteers 18+.

* Swingbridge Childrens Centre - Baby Fun Time Group Volunteer

An exciting and rewarding opportunity for an experienced early year’s practitioner (or someone with experience of supporting children/families). You will be required to run a weekly, one hour session providing stimulating activities for parents/carers and their babies. You will be part of a team which will include volunteer parents. Your role will involve creating a relaxed environment where new friendships can be made and where parents/carers and their babies, can be encouraged to learn and develop skills together. Suitable for volunteers 25+.

* Jubilee Church Life Centre - Enthusiastic Administration Team Member

An opportunity to join a friendly team and engage with a wide range of people on reception, working alongside others. Simple filing and administration, computer skills and advantage but not essential. Preparing for conferences and seeing in guests. Suitable for volunteers 16+.

* Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Trust Voluntary Services Department - Gardening Helper

Chance to help and encourage service users in gardening activities in the new garden at the Manthorpe Centre. Suitable for volunteers 18+.

* Lincolnshire Sport - Sport Event Volunteer

Lincolnshire Sport is encouraging workplaces to become fitter, healthier and more active. As part of Workplace Challenge a programme of inter-workplace competitions have been organised. The Festive Games is a one off event but different competitions are held monthly. Suitable for volunteers 18+.
