Music shop owner Tom Simmonds won two prizes at Wednesday’s Grantham Journal Business Awards including the Judges Prestige Award.
Rewarded for his efforts to create Grantham’s very own musical hub, Tom of Simmonds Music on Westgate, won not only the Independent Retailer award, but was also picked from all the night’s winners to take home the Judges’ Prestige Award.
After opening in 2007, the shop now also provides a recording studio and music lessons to the community. “I feel strongly about Grantham. I just want to make the town a better place to be,” said Tom in his winning video, produced by South Kesteven District Council and broadcast on the night along with all those of the winners.
