DAREDEVILS have the chance to enjoy a spectacular abseil down the spire of St Wulfram’s Church this month to raise money for charity.
And Journal photographer Toby Roberts went up the church tower this week to show you the view you could enjoy if you choose to take part.
Operation Big Drop takes place on Saturday, September 24, and will raise money for St Wulfram’s Church, Help for Heroes, The Bridge for Heroes and Grantham Twinning Association.
Entry costs £10 per person, although people taking part will be asked to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship (students £50).
Those who raise more stand a chance of winning an away day with the Territorial Army, including the chance to tackle an inflatable assault course at Prince William of Gloucester Barracks.
Other attractions at Operation Big Drop will include a hog roast, barbecue, live music as well as a chance to enjoy the incredible architecture inside and outside the church.
