Don’t judge our great town on one incident

AS a former resident of Grantham, I regularly keep informed of issues in my home town by following your website - www.granthamjournal.co.uk.

I was amused by the letter from “Annoyed Visitor”, who was critical of Mr Graham Barrett’s plea for balance regarding youth behaviour.

However, he has a point. “Annoyed Visitor” is basing their view of Grantham on one incident, which is very personal to them, (and very regrettable) but not very objective.

If someone were to visit me and were critical after leaving, I would consider them rude and ill mannered. Annoyed visitor should consider Grantham as a whole and not just their personal misfortune when labelling the youth of the town as poorly behaved. Their language in last week’s letter was laughable and patronising.
