Grantham A&E letter: Hospital cuts are ‘thin edge of the wedge’

Have your say

We are going to need a bigger boat, not to mention a few more ambulances with a probable four-hour turn around delivering the heart attack, stroke and road traffic accident victims to the Lincoln or Boston A&E, but who is going to be left to look after the odd crazy paving accident casualty?

With the proposed housing development in the area and the influx of people that will come with it, closing the Grantham Hospital A&E at night, for a start, it’s the thin end of the wedge, and seems an absolutely brilliant idea, I don’t know why someone hasn’t thought of it before.

I suppose if we can get enough people into the area we won’t notice if a few keep slipping away.

I wonder if any building contractors have got a bid in for the hospital site yet, they could get a lot more houses on there. Just a little tip for the future.
