I was very upset by a television news report about a cancer sufferer was was twice turned down by the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham through lack of beds.
This also happens at Lincoln Hospital and Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital, so it brings me back to why we not only need to keep all the facilities at Grantham Hospital, but also to build new ones and modernise those we still have.
I see the council wants 4,000 new homes at Grantham. This could mean 9,000 to 12,000 more residents so it is about time they made sure we keep all the excellent facilities at Grantham Hospital to cope with the influx.
