I ENDORSE every word of Mr Ian Fielding’s letter (Journal, September 30), concerning Grantham Hospital’s Accident and Emergency department.
On September 29 I myself had to be taken there with severe pain that I had had continually day and night for 10 days.
Two young doctors and two nurses treated me for six hours with great professionalism and kindness.
I came out with no pain looking forward to a good night’s sleep that I had been denied for so long.
We cannot realise the pressure these doctors and nurses work under. I am eternally grateful to them all for the help that day and on previous occasions when I have received treatment.
What a great asset Grantham Hospital and the A&E is to us all.
Let us remain vigilant and make sure we never lose it.
