Questions need answering before hospital cuts are made

ONCE again hospital cuts and the reduction of services are at the top of Lincolnshire Primary Care Trust’s agenda. Before any cuts are made, some fundamental questions need to be answered.

As Grantham Hospital is always at the top of any proposed hit-list, we need to know how much particular hospitals within the care of Lincolnshire Primary Care Trust, have contributed to the £14m deficit.

Next question, in which departments have losses occurred and WHY?

Until a breakdown of detail figures is made available to the general public for scrutiny, yet again the suspicion will remain that Grantham is being subjected to a hidden agenda.
