Situated four miles from Grantham just off of the A607, Harlaxton Manor is owned by an American college and is used as their British Campus.
However, Edward VII once considered using the Manor as his royal home. First built in the 1830s for the Gregory family, the Manor was designed by architect Salvin. It was constructed from Ancaster stone and was commisioned after Gregory Gregory had searched all over Europe for inspiration - hence its combination of styles from far and wide.
