Midlands League
4 East (North)
Kesteven 74
Castle Donington 0
KESTEVEN secured their League 4 status with an emphatic win, running in 12 tries against bottom club Castle Donington.
Ks got off to the best possible start when the visitors knocked on from the kick off. Dan Turner broke from the base of the scrum and danced over for a try with just a minute played.

With the wind at their backs, Ks kept Donington pinned in their own half and a second try came when Turner scooped up a loose ball and released Rupert Jordan on the wing.

Jordan needed no second invitation and screamed past his opposite number to go over in the corner and plant the ball behind the posts to make Dom Brister's conversion a formality.

Brister added a third try minutes later and Rupert Jordan ran in his second under the posts.

Tony Woolerton on the right wing stormed up the touchline to score, and then Andy Peabody broke away from a maul 40 metres out to race away for a try under the posts. Brister added two conversions.

Ks resumed the onslaught when Max Haddad broke through for the first try of the second half.

A brace from Phil Jordan followed and there were three more tries in the final 10 minutes from Richard Dolan, Martyn Parker and Max Haddad.

Brister converted four second-half tries.
