KESTEVEN returned to winning ways on Saturday with an exhilarating first-half performance.
The pack laid the foundation and the backs duly delivered some fine tries.

Ks did not take long to get on the scoresheet. A tapped penalty by scrum-half Faolan Lidstone saw the ball spin out to the right and Andy Brown, playing in the unaccustomed position of centre, stole over in the corner.

Andy Price missed the conversion but was successful minutes later when he converted the second try scored by Vilmantas Zuikis, his second in two weeks.

The third try came from Hallam O'Brien who used his devastating pace and a great angled run to take a short pass from Brown and speed in under the bar. Price converted.

O'Brien added his seceond try moments later, using his pace to beat the defence and score in the corner.

Worksop replied with a try of their own before Kesteven added their fifth try. Tony Woolerton broke from a tackle, taking himself clear of the defence and finished in style.

Ks had few scoring chances in the second half until Lidstone picked up a loose ball near halfway and side-stepped past several defenders to finish with a flourish near the posts.

Worksop had the last word when pressure at the base of a Kesteven scrum led to a loose ball being picked up by their flanker who scored.

Kesteven: A. Price, Woolerton, O'Brien, Brown, Zuikis, Lamb, Lidstone, Arnold, Welham, Perry, Bowles, Sayle, Hughes, Flear, Pearsey. Subs: Somerville, Brister, W. Price, Cann, Berry, Ward.
