South Lincs and Border League
Division One
Bourne 2nd 110-9
Grantham 113-3
DUNCAN Whittle had Bourne in trouble from the start taking two wickets for eight runs in his first five overs.

He was well supported by Simon Oakes, who only gave away 13 runs in seven overs, and a miserly spell by Austin Imber (11-16-1).

The stage was set for man of the match Mblelo Nkomo who claimed four wickets for 25 runs in 12 overs. Fellow spinner Joe Farmer took two wickets for 12 in six overs.

Grantham fielders took five good catches, but a couple of lapses allowed Bourne to hang on until their 45 overs were finished.

The visitors struck back early as Grantham lost both openers, Andrew Mudie and Martin Parmley, for only 12 runs. Nkomo and Carl Wilson put on 43 before the latter fell for 16. Nkomo was joined by Paul Chadwick and they put together an unbroken winning stand of 58 with Nkomo not out on 63, which include 12 fours, and Chadwick 24 not out, hitting four fours.
