Powerlifter wins fifteenth Masters title
KNIPTON powerlifter Doreen Dowsett won her 15th Masters Championship in Birmingham at the weekend.
She was unable to achieve the total she had hoped for after she sustained an injury during her second lift.
But she had still done enough to win the 67.5kg class and book her place on the Great Britain team for the European Championships which take place in Luxembourg in June.
Doreen, who trains at Feel Good Fitness in the George Centre, will be competing in the county championships at Scunthorpe this weekend.
