Grantham Running Club’s flagship Summer Solstice road is on Friday, June 20.
Entries are still open to the 10km event which takes place in Long Bennington at 7.15pm.
The race is licensed by UK Athletics and is run on an accurately measured fast course, ideal for those trying for a season’s or personal best. Now in its fourth year, it has grown year on year and entries have already surpassed last year.
Working in conjunction with Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire county councils, the club’s race organisers have been able to implement road closures across 90 per cent the course.
The race will also provide state of the art chip timing and runners will be able to receive a personal printout of their result shortly after finishing.
The event is now one of the top 10km road races in the East Midlands, attracting both beginners and more experienced club runners from as far afield as Sheffield and Milton Keynes.
There will be prizes for male and female runners, veteran categories and, for the first time this year, a male and female team prize.
Last year’s race sold out so get your entries in now to avoid disappointment. Visit www.granthamrunningclub.co.uk/sumsol
