Year 7 King’s School students became Lincolnshire Indoor Athletics county champions for the fourth consecutive year.
With three straight years of success before them, there was no little pressure on them to emulate their predecessors’ achievements – but they duly obliged.
In a strong competition, held at The Meres leisure centre, King’s took on the various regional winners from around the county.
They came out on top following a variety of track and field events including triple jump, long jump, vertical jump, speed bounce, shot putt, relays and various individual sprint races.
King’s progressed to the East Midlands finals, which take place after Easter, to fly the flag for Lincolnshire against the winners of Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire.
