Two members of Grantham Running Club visited the historic home of motor racing on Sunday.
They were amongst more than 6,000 athletes running the annual Silverstone Half-marathon, including race winner and multi-Paralympic champion David Weir.
Scott Jones had a great run, clipping 22 seconds off his personal best and beating all the celebrity runners, including Olympic 4x400m relay silver medallist Iwan Thomas.
Also in great form, and slashing more than half an hour off her previous best, was GRC’s Angela Stubbs.
+ Running for charity were Stoke Rochford Hall colleagues Lisa Spencer and Lucy Haynes who crossed the finish line together in 2hr 12min. The Motor Neurone Disease Association and The Make a Wish Foundation will benefit from their efforts.
