Abi’s performance firmly established the club as having the best strength in depth of quality female athletes in the area.

Despite the mud and deep puddles, GRC’s Gordon Geach and Mark Hillson recorded personal bests, with Gordon finishing first in his age category.

l Three other GRC members elected to run the annual Rauceby Ripper nine-mile off-road race.

Battling the muddy conditions, first home with a top 30 finish was Iain Brown in 59min 13sec. Lucy Roberts recorded 73.59 and Yvonne Taylor finished in 95.05.
