Seven members of Grantham Running Club enjoyed the early evening sunshine for the Notts 10-mile road race at Holme Pierrepont, near Nottingham, on Friday.
Andrew Pask set a personal best time as he led his clubmates on the two-lap race around the National Watersports Centre’s rowing lakes.
There were impressive debut performances at the distance by Andrew Spencer and Marc Tremain.
With an off-road ultra event lined up in the Peak District this week, both Paul Rushworth and Ben Mason eased back on the pace but still posted respectable times.
Results. Andrew Pask 67min 7sec pb, Paul Rushworth 68.46, Ben Mason 70.42, Andrew Spencer 76.02, Mark Hillson 76.23, Marc Tremain 78.25, Lucy Roberts 90.57.
Also competing on the night were a duo from Grantham Athletic Club.
Tony Madge finished 119th in 73.28 and Keith Measures crossed the line 155th in 76.42.
l Seven GAC runners braved the storms at Parkruns in Newark and Lincoln on Saturday.
Third-placed lady Sophie Stanley improved her PB by three seconds at Newark, as did Janice Anderson, while Keit Measure opted for a recovery run.
Meanwhile at Lincoln, George Hatton set a blistering PB and achieved an impressive 77.43 per cent age graded result. Hot on his heels was Aaron Hunt with 72.8 per cent.

Sophie Stanley’s 5km PB at the Newark Parkrun only lasted a day. On Sunday, she tackled the Lincoln ‘Race For Life’ 5km event and finished third in a time of 22.56.
Eight GRC members also took part in the Newark Parkrun, with Stuart Sinclair and Abi Schofield both recording PBs by exactly one second.
Performance of the day came from Kevin Baker who started late but still overtook 190 runners on his way to the finish.
