ATHLETICS: Prep girls win sportshall event

GRANTHAM Preparatory School triumphed in both the Year 5 and Year 6 girls’ competitions at the final Mike Bundy Sportshall Athletics match for small primary schools.

Held at The Meres leisure centre, the competition was organised and sponsored by Grantham Athletic Club. Valuable assistance was provided by the Young Sports Ambassadors from KGGS, Priory Ruskin Academy and Walton Girls.

Medal presentations were made by Grantham’s ‘10k a day’ man Tim Bridle.

l Grantham AC youngters performed well at the Lincolnshire AA Pairs Sportshall Championships at The Meres on Sunday.

The competition was for athletes in the under-11, under-13 and under-15 age categories.

Results: Under-11 Girls - 2 Holly Sparks and Letitia Barrowcliff; Under-13 Girls - 1 Samantha Bradley and partner*, 6 Helena Morris and Kerry Smith; Under-11 Boys - 1 Kyle Seetul-Drew and partner*, 2 Lewis Davey and Ethan Richards-Cole, 3 Ethan Archer and partner*; Under-15 Boys - 3 Joshua Brown and Jake Hornby.
