BELVOIR Cricket Club held its annual prize presentation and dinner at the Masonic Lodge last Friday.
The event, attended by 70 members and sponsors, marked the club’s most successful season to date, in which it also secured the prestigious Clubmark status.
Speeches included that of club captain James Clayfield who spoke of his pride with the first team winning the South Nottinghamshire Cricket League Division A, and thereby securing promotion to the Nottinghamshire Premier League next season.
John Copley reviewed the second XI’s season, who also gained promotion, followed by Robbie McNeish who spoke of the thirds finishing third. Ryan Lewis spoke of the Saturday first XI’s endeavours and Mike Fentem detailed the development of the Sunday Colts.
