Bingham Cricket Club is holding a festival of cricket this weekend.
It will also be opening its clubhouse to hundreds of real ale fans for a beer festival during its Presidents Weekend celebrations.
The festival of cricket runs from Friday night when a match between Bingham CC and Bingham Town Football Club will take place.
Bingham CC’s first XI take on Ravenshead on Saturday afternoon, and the cricket closes on Sunday with a 10-over President’s XI v Chairman’s XI match at 2pm.
The club has worked with the Nottingham Brewery to have nine real ales and a cider on sale
over the weekend at their Butt Field clubhouse.
Club chairman Paul Maylard-Mason said: “We’ve got plenty going on over the weekend for every age group and lots of family entertainment. We hope that real ale fans will also take the chance to sample some of the award winning beers that we’ll be serving.
“Hopefully, the people of Bingham will come and support our first team on the Saturday afternoon
and enjoy an ale or two while they watch.”.
There will be live music from Just Ben on Friday night, a quiz on Saturday night, plus family ‘kwik cricket’ for teams of six on Sunday. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to enter.
A £5 fee covers entry to the beer festival and all entertainment.
