Barrowby Cricket Club managed the notable achievement of playing three father and son combinations in the same match on Sunday.
Steve Harper, Mark Knight and Dale Hardy all took to the field with sons Ben Harper, Jack Knight and Sammy Hardy. This was a first for the club and they wonder if any other club has also managed this feat.
With other siblings involved with the club too, they could be approaching a full team in the not to distant future.
On the field, in their game at Croxton Kerrial, all the youngster gave great accounts of themselves in the field as Barrowby bowled Croxton out for 154, with Danny Aylin accounting for 117 of those runs. Wickets were shared amongst bowlers Turner, Imber, Sackey and De’ath.
Barrowby fell just short of their required target, despite knocks of 40 from Austin Imber and 32 from Craig Turner, with Leon Aylin bagging 5-14 for Croxton.
