CRICKET: Barkston & Syston given grant for girls

BARKSTON and Syston Cricket Club is celebrating after its junior section was awarded a grant from Lincolnshire County Council.

The club’s junior section has received the grant from LCC’s Big Society Fund and a presentation was made by councillor Ray Wootten.

Cllr Wootten said he was delighted that the council was able to support the village club’s newly-formed under-13 girls’ team, who will be compting in the inaugural season of the Lincolnshire Girls’ Cricket League.
