HAVING qualified in the Lincolnshire heat in July, three members of Witham Wheelers contested the National GHS Juvenile 10-mile Time Trial Championship Final at Newbury on Saturday.

Conditions were hot with a slight breeze and an undulating course. Karl Baillie was quickest on the day with 23min 15sec which was good enough for 23rd overall, but he was a little disappointed to be slightly slower than last year’s time.

Reece Egner recorded 24.45 for 57th and his younger brother Adam finished in 28.58 for 112th overall.

The trio all still have another year of riding in this age group and so have a chance to qualify again for next year’s final.

l Three senior Wheelers took part in the ANDCC 25 at Granby on Sunday.

Martin Hedley was quickest in 1.04.50, followed by John Farmer 1.05.31 and Tony Hardenberg 1.12.48.
